Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to delete the data Orren holds about you, and what each step actually removes. It is also the data deletion instructions page required by Meta for apps that connect to Instagram.
If you are an Orren customer
To delete one thing. Delete it in the app. A capture, a note, a lead, a conversation or a payment deleted in Orren is removed from Orren's servers and from Orren's brain on the next sync, so it can no longer be used to answer a question. A person you hide with the hide-lead control is removed together with every record Orren derived from them.
To disconnect a platform. Open Settings, choose the platform, and disconnect. Orren deletes the token it held for that platform. For Instagram you can also remove Orren from Instagram's Apps and websites settings, which revokes the token on Meta's side; Orren is notified and deletes its copy. Records already synchronised from that platform stay until you delete them or delete your account.
To delete your whole account. Write to josh@conquermental.com from the email address on your account with the words "delete my account". Within 30 days we delete from Orren's servers:
- every synchronised record and relationship, and their search index;
- every connector token and connection record (Instagram, Notion, Stripe);
- your licence records, machine identifiers and sign-in sessions;
- your diagnostics, crash reports, feedback and support tickets;
- your account.
We confirm by email when it is done. Backups age out on their seven-day cycle. Payment records that tax and accounting law require us to keep are retained for that period only.
Your Mac is yours. Deleting your account does not touch the copy of your work on your own Mac. If you want that gone too, export first if you wish, then delete Orren and its data folder in Application Support.
If you are not an Orren customer
If you messaged, commented on, or booked a call with an Orren customer, that customer controls the record and can delete it with the controls above. Please contact them first. If you cannot, write to us at josh@conquermental.com with enough detail to find the record, and we will pass the request to the customer and, where the law requires, act on it ourselves.
If you connected an Instagram account and want everything Orren holds from it removed:
- Disconnect Instagram inside Orren, or remove Orren under Instagram's Apps and websites. This deletes the access token.
- Delete the conversations and people you no longer want, or ask for account deletion as above to remove all of them.
Orren keeps no copy of your Instagram password and never had it; connection is by Meta's authorisation flow.
