Beta and Early Access Terms

These terms apply while Orren, or a feature in it, is labelled beta, early access, or experimental. They are in addition to the Terms of Service, and where the two conflict, these win for the beta feature only.
What beta means
- It may break. Beta software may have bugs, may lose data, and may behave differently from one update to the next. Keep exports of anything you cannot afford to lose; the app makes them from Settings.
- It may change. We may change, limit or remove a beta feature at any time, with or without notice.
- It may end. We may end the beta programme, or your part in it, at any time.
Your part
- Use it for real work if you like, but understand the risk above.
- Tell us what breaks. The app has a feedback control that carries what you wrote and the screenshots you chose to attach; using it is the whole point of a beta.
- Anything you tell us about the product (bugs, ideas, what you wish it did) we may use freely to improve Orren, without owing you anything for it. You keep ownership of your content, as always.
- Beta features may not yet have every control or promise the Privacy Policy describes for finished features. Where a beta feature handles data differently, the app says so where the feature is turned on.
Confidentiality
If we ask you to keep a beta feature confidential, for example an unreleased integration, please do, until we release it or tell you the request has lapsed.
Pricing
A beta licence is priced as stated when you got it. If you were given Orren free or at a discount for taking part, that pricing applies for the period we stated, and normal pricing applies afterwards.
No warranty
Beta features are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, and the liability limits in the Terms of Service apply to them.
